Related Films to the Dark Knight

From my earlier post you probably know that I'm studying Christopher Nolan for my Research Project but i also have to compare and contrast the films that he has directed with others. Henceforth I have chosen two films; Memento, a physiological thriller and Inception, a sci-fi, action, heist, thing... to reference with The Dark knight, a superhero movie. These two films are a couple years apart and are different genres so they can be used to efficiently see how Nolan has developed, changed and grown in his style of directing.

Focus Film

I have chosen The Dark Knight as my focus film because it is one of my most favourite of films; it has incredible action, acting and dilemmas where the even the crinimals themselves question what their actions. It is the sequel to Batman Begins; the rebooted film franchise and Christopher Nolan has gave it a deftly darker tone that matches the graphic novels and has been a critical success in reviving Batman.

In case you don't know what it is.

The Style and Signature of Christopher Nolan, from Memento to Inception

I have chosen Christopher Nolan for my Small Scale Research Project because I am a fan of his films such as The Dark Knight, Inception and The Prestige. He is a decorated writer, producer and director. Having eight films in his repertoire he is currently the most sought after director in Hollywood; Producing the reboot of superman and directing the third and final batman movie, The Dark Knight Rises. It was the The Dark Knight that finally made Christopher Nolan a household name after over one billion dollars at the box office, winning two Oscars and being nominated for over 150 other awards.
